Ground Floor Family Rooms
Family Hotel Rooms on the ground floor comprises of two bedrooms, each with two single beds (main room set up as a King-sized bed and second room with two separate single beds). The two interleading bedrooms feature a shared en-suite bathroom with shower. Note that only the main bedroom has a door. Family rooms have a coffee station and Smart TV. These rooms do not offer direct access to the swimming pool and access to this area is via the corridors. The rooms offer either street views or views of the building next door.
Each Family Room offers a bar fridge.
The bed configuration in each Ground Floor Family Room is two single beds per bedroom. The beds are set up as a King-sized bed in the main room and set up as two individual beds in the second room. This roomtype does not offer double or queen sized beds. Note that when the beds are pushed together, the linen will remain that of two individual beds.
The electricity supply is 240V. A built in 2-point plug as well as a USB plug is available next to the bed, as well as at the dresser.
Laundry services are offered at an additional cost. Regrettably irons are not available in rooms.
An extra pillow is provided in the wardrobe for your convenience.
Guests of the Ground Floor Family Rooms do not have direct access to the swimming pool and access to this area is via the corridor.
The bedroom does not have an electronic safe.
All our rooms are non-smoking. Guests are allowed to smoke in designated smoking areas.
TEA / COFFEE STATION
For your convenience a tea and coffee station is in all rooms with a choice of tea and coffee, milk and sugar. Additional tea and coffee is available for purchase from the restaurant.
Guests can download the 3CX app onto their smart phones to make use of our complimentary in house telephone app. Instructions are available via a unique QR code in the room or at reception.
Each bedroom in the Family Room offers a SmartTV with a complimentary Netflix, ShowMax and YouTube. Take note that DSTV is not available but guests who have their own DSTV accounts are welcome to log in using the SmartTV streaming service.
We offer a liquid body wash and shampoo, as well as a body lotion. Regrettably we do not provide bars of soap. All bottled amenities are available to purchase at R150 per bottle. Please enquire with reception.
Free wireless internet is available to guests.
ARE ALL YOUR ROOMS THE SAME?
The Ground Floor Family Rooms are similar in décor but bathrooms do differ in terms of layout and look. Each room has tiled floors.
CAN I CHECK IN EARLIER / CHECK OUT LATER?
Check in is from 2pm to 10pm. We understand that some guests may wish to arrive earlier due to other engagements elsewhere. You are welcome to arrive at the property from 1pm and complete your check in, and once the rooms are ready at 2pm the keys will be available to you. Check out is between 6am and 10am. Late check-outs must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability; a late check out fee will apply. Checking out prior to our office hours should also be arranged in advance with our front desk.
CAN MY CHILDREN SHARE THE ROOM WITH US?
The Family Rooms sleep up to 4 guests, and this can be any combination of adults and children, as long as only 4 guests occupy the space. While infants under 2 years are more than welcome to share the bed with parents who travel as a couple, note that cribs / cots are not available at Elephant Springs and we recommend that parents bring this along. Please notify us upfront if you are travelling with infants.
Additionally, should families book separate bedrooms for parents and children, we invite guests to inform us of this as a matter of urgency. Not all bedrooms are located in the same vicinity or floor and Elephant Springs Hotel will do its best to place the rooms as close as possible. This may not always be possible and is subject to availability.
CAN I BRING ALONG MY OWN FOOD & BEVERAGES?
The Elephant Springs Hotel is not a self-catering property and we kindly request that guests do not bring food with them. Our hotel bedrooms do not offer cooking facilities, microwaves but we have introduced bar fridges with our revamp. There are regrettably no braai facilities available. You are however welcome to bring along snacks such as crisps, sweets or biscuits to enjoy in the comfort of your room. Kindly note that the hotel is not to be confused with the self-catering offering at the Apartments next door. Guests should also note that if they travel with others who reside at the Apartments, that they are not permitted to visit the units or use the facilities of the guests who reside in the Apartments as they are specifically designed to only accommodate 6 guests. We recommend that guests meet in our restaurant or bar to socialize, as the hotel facilities are also off limits to Apartments guests.
We are a fully licensed premise and consequently guests may not bring their own beverages or cooler boxes for use in our public areas. Take note that ice is only available for drinks and beverages purchased in our bar. We value your cooperation in this regard.
WHERE IS MY ROOM LOCATED?
The Ground Floor Family Rooms are located on the ground floor of the property. All the rooms are street facing or looks out onto the CBD. Take note that while all rooms in this category are on the ground floor, that they are not available next to each other, and we urge guests to check with us upfront if they require additional rooms on the same floor to be close together. (Subject to availability.)
